Some songs will never go out of fashion, EVER. You can trust us when we say that! It’s also safe to say that the songs from the Rat Pack era will always be loved, purely because they ooze class and sophistication, and we all love a bit of Frank, don’t we?
Here are our four favourite classics for your ears.
Fly Me to the Moon
This swing number has been cropping up and being recorded so many times since its original release in 1954. The song, originally called ‘In Other Words’, was written by Bart Howard and first recorded by Kaye Ballard!
The most popular version has to be the 1964 Frank Sinatra version that was associated with the Apollo missions to the moon!

Ain’t That a Kick in the Head
Another belter that came from the Rat Pack era is this number from 1960, written by Jimmy Van Heusen and Sammy Cahn. It was then sung by the ‘King of Cool’ himself, Dean Martin.

King of the Road
King of the Road is a song that tells a tale of a poor hobo that revels in his own freedom! Originally it was written and recorded in 1964 by Roger Miller, and has been a giant of a song ever since. But we particularly love the Dean Martin version; after all, he does make it cool!

Mack the Knife
You’ll probably know this classic best from the 1959 recording by Bobby Darin! I bet you didn’t know that this song was actually a German composition called ‘Die Moritat von Mackie Messer!’

Let’s be honest here, how many function bands in London are able to offer such a wide range of options? Not only do we do these classy Rat Pack numbers, but everything from the most elegant wedding band to a roaring party band to get your guests feet tapping!
