Set amongst 200 acres of stunning landscapes, glistening waves of the beach, flawlessly soft sand and breath-taking architecture; the scenery of the Emirates Palace can certainly leave you speechless. However, the Talent were anything but short of words on New Years Eve as we were the entertainment for the Emirates Palace annual New Year Gala.

After being invited back for the fourth year running, The Talents very own Craig Tyler. AKA Bags, frontman and company director wanted to ensure everyone had their dancing shoes on:

“This is the fourth consecutive year we’re playing at this event and we cannot wait for this years. It promises to be bigger and better than last year’s event. We are keen to give every single person in attendance a night to remember at such an amazing venue”

This prestigious hotel is known by pretty much everyone and is amongst the most luxurious places, not just in the United Arab Emirates, but worldwide. The likes of Christina Aguilera, Rihannah and Justin Timberlake have performed here, and its even made an appearance in films such as Fast and Furious 7 and The Kingdom. Its fair to say that its an honour to be added to the list of performances, not once, not twice, but four times now.

The hotel is now also recognised as having the Middle East, the UA’s and Abu Dhabi’s leading suite.

 

This New Years celebration played host to a range of celebrities and royalty from around the world. The Talent were more than thrilled to be performing to a crowd of people who were truly ready to bring in the New Year in style.

 

And of course, we had to make sure our soundcheck was perfect. Check out the slap back on this!


But its not all work and no play; there’s always time for a little silliness from the Talent. Isn’t it great when work can be fun too?


The event kicked off at 7pm and featured a whole lot of entertainment throughout the night, with a live firework show at midnight to bring in 2018. What a fantastic way to kick-start another musical and event filled year for the Talent.

 

The party wasn’t over after we stopped! No- the celebrations continued with a thumping DJ after party on the Palace Terrace!

The team at the Emirates Palace truly are the dream team; even when the airline double booked our return flight, they came to the rescue and made us feel super comfortable!

 

We would like to say a great BIG thankyou to all our friends- new and old at the Emirates Palace, and everyone who attended for another superb New Years Eve. We had a blast and we hope you enjoyed watching our performance as much as we enjoyed performing for you all.
